The school we’re building in Malawi now consists of preschool through the fourth grade and educates 150 students. As this year wraps up for summer, we have the wonderful problem of figuring out where to put our fourth grade students next year. You see, this group is the original preschool class of 2018, and they are the pioneers of the HUGS for Tomorrow Christian Academy. We have been adding one grade level each year to stay a step ahead of them, and now is the exciting time to break ground on their fifth grade classroom.

Once we have the money, the building will go up quickly. But we can’t wait for all of that money to begin construction. The village holds its breath each year to see if the school will indeed continue on. The generosity of Jesus and His people is new to them and seems too good to be true. They have spent six years questioning what we’re doing and why we’re doing it. Our consistent message has been that God sees them and loves them. With your help, we plan to continue on as ambassadors to connect them to God’s provision for their posterity until we are no longer needed. We figure that will be sometime after this group of trailblazers has graduated and taken the baton. In the meantime, we are their advocates and are humbly asking for your support, which today means any amount of money you are willing to donate towards the groundbreaking and foundation of our fifth grade classroom. We can set the foundation for $2,500 and officially enroll this class for the 2024 school year. Here is a link to the project on DonorSee.com.

These kids are troopers, and we’re so proud of them. We’ve watched them grow from shy, undernourished children into healthy, confident young men and women who know and love God and eagerly soak up knowledge. By the time they graduate, they will surely be well equipped to forge the path for generations to come. We trust that God will finish this work He began through us seven years ago. What started as a small feeding program with a handful of kids has become what we believe will one day be one of the best Christian schools in all of Africa. Your prayer and donations are making this possible. Thank you and God bless you for your support.
